An 8-year-old boy's discovery of a flint flint led to a collection that is now widely known in archaeological circles.

The collection was created by Jørgen Rieck for a period of 60 years.

The collection is, by far, known to be Denmark's largest private collection, and in some geographical areas even surpasses the National Museum.

There are not only a few Danefæ - you can also see the skull of the cromagnon man "Peter", which was found at Gilbækken near Elsmark.

The collection is closed for the winter from week 43.
