The guided tour takes you past buildings with historical links to 1864 and places where the bombs fell and ruined the city

An 1864 city walk with guide

On April 2 and 3, 1864, the Prussian cannon positions fired on Broagerland Sønderborg. Ca. 1/3 of Sønderborg was destroyed as a result of the bombing, and the residents had to flee the city. 

The guide tells about the position of the Danish positions, and gives examples of the loss and suffering of the inhabitants during the bombing.
