Fishing at Gammeldam in Nordborg

The three bogs at Gammeldam offer eels, carp and large bream and are notorious for large pike.

The fishery at Gammeldam is spread over three bogs with a fine population of eels and peace fish, such as large bream and carp. The marshes are also notorious for their large pike.

The rights to fish in large parts of Gammeldam belong to the Sports Fishermen's Association Nordborg and in addition, landowners have private access. Show consideration and respect for wildlife, plant life, fences, crops and animal husbandry when you move around the area.

The fishing takes place from land and any bait fish must be caught in Gammeldam. Feeding should be done with care. It is allowed to fish with 2 rods.

For the sake of the birds and their breeding season, the bogs are protected in April and May.

Carps must be released.
