Baron's High - Nørreskoven Als

Baronens Høj is named after former forest rider Baron Wedel-Wedelsborg, who lived on Als in the 1800th century.

The mound has a well-preserved nozzle chamber with cover stone and is encircled by 30 curbs.

During an excavation of the chamber in 1946, ornamental shards of earthen vessels dating to around 3.600 BC were found, as well as human bones and two beautiful flint daggers, dating from later burials.
